SBI are proud to announce that, as of Thursday 4 November 2021, all three of our Tech accelerator programmes are currently open for applications.

Our tech programmes are match-funded by London South Bank University (LSBU) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). They each provide businesses with fully-funded support to create and/or test new-to-market tech products that help solve global issues.

Fast-track the development of your digital health innovation

SimDH (Simulation for Digital Health) supports medtech businesses in collaboration with LSBU's Schools of:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Business
  • Engineering 
  • Computer Science.

Through the programme, businesses can receive direct support on apps or software development, hardware design, marketing as well as consultancy to support entry into the Health & Social Care sector.

Unlock the potential of immersive technology

ACE IT (Accelerating the Creative Economy through Immersive Tech) is run in collaboration with London College of Communications, UAL. The programme helps businesses to create new immersive tech products and content by linking them to experts in:

  • Augmented Reality
  • Virtual Reality
  • Immersive Audio
  • Volumetric Capture &Scanning.

Businesses can also access appropriate facilities and equipment, saving them thousands in R&D costs whilst elevating the quality of their productions.

Supporting you to drive our zero carbon future

Our Sustainable Innovation (SI) programme supports the businesses that are driving London (and the UK)'s Net Zero Carbon Emission ambitions.

Through SI, businesses receive bespoke project plans that could include any of the following services to help fast-track their design process or get their businesses more investment-ready:

  • Reviews of literature, technology or design
  • Prototype development and testing
  • Materials testing and analysis
  • Theoretical investigation, modelling and simulation
  • Lifecycle assessments of costs, energy balance and emissions
  • Product and commercialisation strategy development.

Hi3 Network connects creative tech industry specialists, researchers and businesses developing new products, services, experiences or research. Together, we’re defining the future of moving-image, screen-based and creative technologies through innovative research and development.

Through our network, businesses (including Freelancers and Sole Traders) can benefit from access to:

  • Research opportunities.
  • Experimental studio space in our creative hubs of Canterbury, Folkestone and Maidstone.
  • A network of creative businesses and entrepreneurs from across the southeast of England.
