SBI are proud to learn that Repowering London's CEO, Dr Afsheen Rashid, has been named as one of the Climate Leaders for the #OneStepGreener campaign in the lead to COP26.
Dr Rashid has been chosen as one of 26 ambassadors - all extraordinary, everyday people who are going above and beyond for the climate - to represent the best in UK climate leadership and will inspire the public to follow in their footsteps ahead of COP26.
Repowering London is a not-for-profit organisation that empowers communities to fund, install and manage their own renewable, local energy. They joined our Sustainable Innovation Programme's first cohort in 2020 to collaborate on a research project, receiving around £15,000 in consultancy from our researchers and engineering technicians. Our researchers helped Repowering London to develop a platform for centralising and visualising environmental data from a variety of sensors, which could be deployed in social housing to monitor fuel poverty and disrepair - such as levels of mould or damp.
